BEAR Expectations
Follow the B.E.A.R. Code
At California Elementary students are expected to be safe, be eager to learn, act responsibly and respectfully at all times!
Positive Behavior Interventions & Support (PBIS)
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Support. PBIS is a positive proactive approach to discipline. The objective of PBIS is to teach students social skills to be successful in the classroom, on the playground, and in life. This three tiered approach to PBIS encourages a positive climate school-wide.
California Elementary's positive behavior intervention and support program establishes expectations, rewards appropriate behavior and reinforces social skills. We invite parents and community members to join us in a common effort to promote and reward behaviors which contribute to skills for productive citizens.
